Small Wooden Earrings - Three Rivers

The Three Rivers small wooden earrings are individually designed and hand painted before being finished with gloss and stirling silver hooks.

In traditional Aboriginal art places of meeting or connection are usually marked as a circle or set of concentric circles, symbolling places, people, bush tucker, land and waterways. The artworks are depicted from an aerial view, like looking down on a map.

Three Rivers represents Wiradjuri Country. “Wiradjuri” means people of three rivers.' 

Owner of Balgarra Designs, Joanne Cassady is a descendant of the Wiradjuri Nation located in Central NSW. The Wiradjuri are people of three rivers – the Wambool (Macquarie), the Calare (Lachlan) and the Murrumbidgee.
