Jacaranda Earrings - Waterhole

The Jacaranda Waterhole earrings are individually hand-made and painted from the jacaranda seed pods that fall naturally from the jacaranda tree. The pods are gathered, split and carefully hand painted before being finished with gloss and sterling silver hooks. 

In traditional Aboriginal art places of meeting or connection are usually marked as a circle or set of concentric circles, symbolling places, people, bush tucker, land and waterways. The artworks are depicted from an aerial view, like looking down on a map.

The Waterhole symbolises the waterhole found on the journey tracks, near campsites used for camping, cooking and gatherings.
