Jacaranda Earrings - Campsite

The Jacaranda Campsite earrings are individually hand-made and painted from the jacaranda seed pods that fall naturally from the jacaranda tree. The pods are gathered, split and carefully hand painted before being finished with gloss and sterling silver hooks. 

In traditional Aboriginal art places of meeting or connection are usually marked as a circle or set of concentric circles, symbolling places, people, bush tucker, land and waterways. The artworks are depicted from an aerial view, like looking down on a map.

The Campsite symbolises camping and rest stops. Common campgrounds can be found between hunting grounds and ceremonial grounds in between communities.
