Basket Gugurrgaagaa (Kookaburra)

Inspired by Gugurrgaagaa (Kookaburra), this basket has been weaved using the coil weaving style. Gugurrgaagaa has a strong relationship with Yarray, the Sun, and has been given the responsibility to announce Yarray's arrival every morning. Gugurrgaagaa also has a great sense of humour and can be heard laughing to themselves or others.

Each piece is unique and handmade on Gomeroi Country (Tamworth, NSW) by Gomeroi women who support the wellbeing of their Community through the continuation of their ancestral weaving culture.

Available in small and medium sizes. Actual product may differ from the images. Each piece is unique and has slightly different pattern, shape, and portion of colours.
