Dilly Bag Gugurrgaagaa (Kookaburra)

Inspired by Gugurrgaagaa (Kookaburra), this dilly bag has been weaved using the twine weaving style. Gugurrgaagaa has a strong relationship with Yarray, the Sun, and has been given the responsibility to announce Yarray's arrival every morning. Gugurrgaagaa also has a great sense of humour and can be heard laughing to themselves or others.

Each piece is unique and handmade on Gomeroi Country (Tamworth, NSW) by Gomeroi women who support the wellbeing of their Community through the continuation of their ancestral weaving culture.
